Terms of sale and delivery


Terms of sale and delivery for purchase of collector's coins for private use via the Internet or by telephone.

Description of collector's coins
For descriptions of the coins, see Thematic Coins and Coin Sets.

Ordering
To order coins, use the order form. Should the number of coins ordered exceed the total edition, the orders received will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. The Royal Danish Mint does, however, reserve the right to make a disproportionate reduction in order to ensure that all orders get their fair share of the allocation. Reservations are made for printing/typing errors. Some coins may be out of stock.

The agreement is not final until the buyer has received an order confirmation. The Royal Danish Mint will retain copies of your order and order confirmation until the coins have been dispatched.

Mode of payment
Payment for coins ordered can be made in two ways: by a Danish credit or debit card, or by bank transfer/Internet bank payment.
Payment by advance booking can only be done by a bank transfer.

Credit/debit card payment
The following cards are accepted: Dankort, and e-Dankort. Your card data will be encrypted and sent directly to Nets via a secure connection (SSL). Please note that the amount will be debited to your account before the coins are dispatched (advance payment).

The maximum amount for payments by credit or debit card is DKK 10,000.00. If your order exceeds that amount, please pay by bank transfer as described below.

Logging IP addresses
We register your IP address when you pay by credit or debit card. We only use the IP address in the event of potential misuse.

Payment via Internet banking or bank transfer
Please deposit the amount to the Royal Danish Mint's account with Danmarks Nationalbank:
Branch sort code 1005, account no. 0000063539 (IBAN DK 6810050000063539).
Payment should not be made until you have received an order confirmation from the Royal Danish Mint and must be effected within 14 days from the date of the order confirmation.
Remember to state the order number and your name. If this deadline is not observed, the order will be cancelled and must be resubmitted. If you do not have access to Internet banking, payment can be effected by your bank (IBAN DK 6810050000063539). Our BIC number (SWIFT-code) is DKNBDKKK.

Delivery
The Royal Danish Mint processes orders on a first-come-first-served basis.
If you have paid by credit or debit card, your order will be dispatched within 5 banking days after the amount has been debited to your account.

If your have opted for a bank transfer, your order will be dispatched within 5 banking days from receipt of your order by the Royal Danish Mint.

Prices
All collectors coins are subject to 25 per cent Danish VAT. Old gold coins and collector coins sold at face value subject to no tax. Sale of collector coins to private individuals living outside the EU, including Greenland and the Faroe Islands, is exempt from Danish VAT.

Postage costs:
• From DKK 115.00 for dispatch outside Denmark, and to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The coins will be dispatched by registered letter or insured letter (værdibrev) by Post Danmark. The prices of the individual coins are stated on the order form.
The prices apply while stocks last. Reservations are made for printing/typing errors and omissions.

The opening hours are weekdays from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Complaints
Complaints about defective deliveries from the Royal Danish Mint must be lodged within two years from the date of purchase, cf. the provisions of the Danish Sale of Goods Act. In the event of defects, please contact:

Coins can also be returned to this address. We recommend that you use the return slip attached to the invoice.
In the event of defective coins or errors, the Royal Danish Mint will refund the postage costs when the coins are returned.

Right of cancellation
14 days' right of cancellation applies to all purchases for private use via the Royal Danish Mint's website or by telephone. The right of cancellation applies from the time of receipt of the coins. If the right of cancellation expires on a public holiday, Saturday, Sunday, 5 June, 24 December or 31 December, it is extended until the following weekday. The cancellation notice should be sent to:

You can cancel your purchase by refusing to accept the coins, by not collecting them at the post office, by handing them back yourself, or by returning them to the above address. It is sufficient to deliver the coins to the postal service by the deadline.

When the Royal Danish Mint receives the returned coins, the full purchase price will be refunded. Please state the branch sort code and account no./giro account no. to which the refunded purchase price should be deposited. We recommend that you use the return slip attached to the invoice, stating whether the amount should be deposited to a bank or giro account.

The right of return only applies if the coin capsules have not been opened.

The right of return only applies to coins sold for private use via the Royal Danish Mint's website or by telephone.

Governing law and venue
Agreements for the sale of coins and these terms of sale and delivery shall be governed by Danish law and the legal venue shall be in Denmark.

Personal data
This section describes the data tracked when you visit the Royal Danish Mint's website and how the Royal Danish Mint uses this data. You can always obtain information about any data that the Royal Danish Mint has registered about you, and you may object to such registration, cf. the provisions of the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data.

Information on ordering of collector's coins
When you order articles via the Royal Danish Mint's website or by telephone, the data you provide – including your name, address and e-mail address – will be registered in our order-processing system. The data is used to execute your order and for internal statistical purposes. A few employees at the Royal Danish Mint and Danmarks Nationalbank have access to the data. The data is not passed on. The data is stored for 5 years.
We do not pass on your personal data to third parties, including other enterprises.

An SSL certificate is used for data transmission.

Subscription to e-mail news service
The Royal Danish Mint's e-mail news service provides information about coins, etc. the Royal Danish Mint will only send you news by e-mail if you have actively indicated that you wish to receive news, i.e. you have entered your e-mail address under our news service. We will send news at the times/intervals requested by you.

If you subscribe to the Royal Danish Mint's e-mail news service, your name and/or e-mail address and your subscriptions will be registered. This data is used to send you the requested information. A few employees at the Royal Danish Mint and Danmarks Nationalbank have access to the data. The data is not passed on. If you cancel your subscription, the data is deleted immediately.
