All coins issued after the introduction of the krone as their currency in 1875, and where the value of coins still in circulation, can be exchanged at face value at Danmarks Nationalbank.
Coins of denomination 1, 2, 5 and 10 øre can not be exchanged, as these denominations have been deleted as payment. 25 øre coins can be encashed until the end of September 2011.
In the years 1924-40 were translated a coin with a nominal ½ krone. This coin was withdrawn by the end of 1942 and made void. These coins redeemed not.
