The Royal Danish Mint's treatment of personal data from the website.
The following describes the personal data registered when you visit the Royal Danish Mint's website and how the Royal Danish Mint uses your data.

Subscribing to News service
If you subscribe to the Royal Danish Mint's News service, the information submitted about your e-mail address and subscription categories, etc. is logged. The information is registered by the Royal Danish Mint and is used to supply you with the information requested. A few employees at the Royal Danish Mint have access to a list of subscribers in order to keep track of the extent and nature of the subscriptions and to provide help to users who experience problems when trying to cancel subscriptions. Information about the individual subscriptions is not passed on, and if you cancel your subscription the information is automatically deleted.

Your "electronic trail" – web statistics
When you surf the Internet, an "electronic trail" will show where you have been. If you log onto the Royal Danish Mint's website we can see where you have been previously. The Royal Danish Mint's server will also receive information about e.g. your Internet Protocol address (IP address), so that the Royal Danish Mint's page can be displayed on your browser. Depending on your bowser and operating system, the Royal Danish Mint's server may also receive details about your browser brand and version number, as well as your user name, that is the name you use to log onto your PC.

In addition, the Royal Danish Mint has a web statistics program which compiles data on the use of the website, using cookies to see which users return to the website. The program also compiles data on the information you use, what you download, and how long you stay on the various pages. It also logs which other websites you have visited and visit afterwards, which country you are from, and what time of the day you visited the website.

This data is used by the Royal Danish Mint for the operation of the website and for preparing monthly statistics so that we can continuously improve the structure of the website. In other words, the aggregate information, not the individual details, is studied, and the individual details are deleted when the statistics for the month in question have been prepared. Statistical information is retained for one year.
