Danmarks Nationalbank regularly receives enquiries from people wanting to purchase banknotes, but for practical reasons it has not been possible to accommodate such wishes until now. However, we now believe that it will be possible to supply collectors with banknotes using the same method as the Royal Danish Mint uses for selling coins.
Danish banknotes
The Royal Danish Mint is offering collectors the new and the old 50- and 100-krone banknote.
Faroese banknotes
The Royal Danish Mint is offering collectors Faroese 50-krone, 100-krone, 200-krone, 500-krone and 1000-krone banknotes.
The banknotes will be supplied individually in acid-free plastic pockets.
Sold at nominal value
The banknotes are sold at their nominal value. However, as considerable administration is involved, a handling fee of kr. 200 including VAT will be charged per order.
Orders are limited to a maximum of 10 pcs banknotes. To this should be added the usual postage for deliveries from the Royal Danish Mint.
Customers wishing to save the postage can do so by picking up the order from Danmarks Nationalbank, Havnegade 5, Copenhagen. Please state this on the order form.
